It is time for our annual Bingo Night 2026! BINGO NIGHT will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at Timothy Edwards Middle School cafeteria at 5:30pm. Bingo Cards and Pizza Slices will be available for Pre-Order and can also be purchased at the door. Please see attached for preorder form. Raffle tickets for our amazing raffle prizes will be available for purchase at the event.

Each year, The raffle is made possible with the help of your donations. If you are interested in donating toys/games/gift cards for the raffle, please bring them to the school office by Tuesday January 20th or contact Jill Duval to arrange pickup.

We are also looking for volunteers, it takes many hands to pull off this great event and we could use your help!

Tickets for the 2026 PRS Night at the Hartford Yard Goats game will go on sale Wednesday January 28th @ noon. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. 

Join us on the field pre-game to hold the big flag during the National Anthem! Check out some PRS staff throwing out first pitches! Finally, stick around for the post game fireworks show! This should be another great event for our PRS community!

Join us on January 21 at the Red Robin in Buckland Hills (Manchester) and enjoy a meal while giving back. 20% of food sales will be donated to the Philip R. Smith PTO when you mention the fundraiser or show the flyer. Dine in or order to-go—every bite helps support our school!

Each month, you’ll have a chance to enjoy a meal with family and friends while supporting the PTO’s efforts to fund the popular  Math Mobile and Book Vending Machine.

Mark your calendars now for the whole school year, and keep an eye out for flyers at the beginning of each month with details. Every bite makes a difference—thank you for helping our students grow and learn!

Just a friendly reminder...

If you want to walk your child to the door or assist with their backpack/materials, please park in a parking spot.

This allows the flow of traffic to keep moving!

An unverified absence is when we do not hear from parents about the reason for a student's absence. Per the district policy and state guidelines, if a student has four unverified absences in a month or ten unverified absences in a school year, a student is considered truant. Please make sure you are communicating with the office through an email, phone call or through the parent portal if your child will be absent from school. To date we have 85 unverified absences.

Student attendance at school is so important for many reasons. We meet monthly to look at attendance. Here are a few tools to help you understand the importance of attendance and when to send your kiddos to school.
