South Windsor Public Schools is now accepting applications for community peer role models in the preschool outreach program (POP) for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are interested in this opportunity for your child, please complete the Preschool Outreach Program (POP) Community Role Model Application. Peer role model screenings began in January 2026. Grade 3-5 students have an opportunity to have lunch with this year's author in residence. Juana Martinez-Neal will be spending the day at PRS on March 4th. See the flyer for more information.

26-27 School Year Kindergarten Registration is open. If you or someone you know has a child who will be five years old by September 1, 2026 (Kindergarten age) please share this link.

Each month, you’ll have a chance to enjoy a meal with family and friends while supporting the PTO’s efforts to fund the popular  Math Mobile and Book Vending Machine.

An unverified absence is when we do not hear from parents about the reason for a student's absence. Per the district policy and state guidelines, if a student has four unverified absences in a month or ten unverified absences in a school year, a student is considered truant. Please make sure you are communicating with the office through an email, phone call or through the parent portal if your child will be absent from school. To date we have 85 unverified absences.

Student attendance at school is so important for many reasons. We meet monthly to look at attendance. Here are a few tools to help you understand the importance of attendance and when to send your kiddos to school.

The Student Leadership would like to thank you for your kind support of our February projects. We created 25 goodie bags and a bag of cards for Seniors at South Windsor Human Services. We will announce the total we raised from our Red, White, and Pink Spirit Day to benefit The Cornerstone Homeless Shelter, in next week's eblast. Thank you.
